Life is tough sometimes.
OK, it’s tough a lot of the time.
It seems like we get one problem in our lives solved….and another crops up. A never-ending parade of problems to make our lives more difficult.
Nobody ever said life would be easy. There are problems with our lives….our families…our jobs…health…or what have you. Some of those problems go away quickly….others seem to linger for months….even years….and make our lives miserable.
Sometimes, we feel like we can’t go on. We just want to give up on everything. Give up on our jobs…our friends….give up on everything.
But we shouldn’t do that. We shouldn’t give up at all.
We have something that can give us the courage and strength to go on…..and not give up on everything.
In the New Testament book of Second Corinthians…chapter 12….verse 9….we learn that Christ says, “My kindness is all you need. My power is strongest when you are weak.”
For Christians…that is a good thing to know. It’s an incredible feeling to know that when we feel like we are about to fall….Christ is there to pick us up….and help us continue on our life’s journey.
And God also reminds us that we’re not alone when life becomes miserable. In the Old Testament book of Psalms, chapter 91, verse 15, it reads, “When you are in trouble, call out to me. I will answer and be there to protect and honor you.”
Christ is risen and lives today…and He speaks to God, His Father…our Heavenly Father…every day on our behalf. That’s right—He does it for you and me, when we pray to God in His name.
Just when we think we cannot go on….we have the power of God ready to help us. And it will help us…if we let Him into our lives.
