God is very good and it is always good to give thanks for each of the blessings and victories achieved in our lives! I just have to thank God for so many blessings and great friends and brothers in my life, especially a thanks to F.H Gates who showed me and recommended me to work at World Christian Broadcasting. This March, two years have passed since they signed the contract and I had the opportunity to meet the entire team in Fanklin, Tennessee. The satisfaction of being part of this ministry and the enormous responsibility to go and preach the word of God through WCB is immense. Thank you Andy and Gayle for the trust you placed in me to carry out this work in the Portuguese language.

In this important month, I want to share some emails I received from listeners that demonstrate the importance of continuing our work through shortwave radio. The first e-mail is from a listener in Venezuela and I have already spoken in some previous articles about the tension that exists in this Latin country and how the population has suffered from the attitudes of the government, below:

Dear friends of Radio Palavra Alegre,

First of all, receive a warm and friendly greeting, hoping that all is well with you.

My name is Jorge García, I’m writing from Venezuela.

The reason for this, while congratulating them and congratulating them on the excellent programming of Radio Palavra Alegre, is to send them a reception report made on January 3rd, 2020, between 21:00 and 22:00 UTC.

Regarding my country. I must tell you that the situation is dire. The economy was dollarized, due to the uncontrollable levels of hyperinflation that we have.

The problem is that wages are not in dollars, but in bolivars that are no longer valuable. A monthly minimum wage in Venezuela is 3 dollars a month, when the basic food basket must be over 200 dollars a month

What remains of the middle class, like me, survives on a salary that barely means enough to eat, selling something of value, and if you are lucky enough to have a family member abroad to send you some money.

Nothing encourages our situation, but I always ask the Lord Jesus to give us enough strength to survive.

But I really want to receive a QSL card from the radio station Palavra Alegre.

Thanks. Jorge Garcia

Another letter we received came from the northeast of Brazil, more specifically from Bahia.

My first experiences at Radio Palavra Alegre started at 11965 kHz, with great tuning. Although the frequency has changed, the quality of reception has been maintained. I classify it as good reception, good signal strength. That this result remains throughout the transmission period.

Radio Palavra Alegre remembers the old radio stations, which I heard when I was a teenager. I remember listening to programs for children where they were very interactive. Long live Radio Palavra Alegre! Antonio Argolo

Hello this is the first time I listen to the program and I am very satisfied with the quality of the transmission and the great messages, which really are very important for our life! Eudson Monteiro

Every month I have had several contacts with listeners on the program, they send text messages via cell phone, send e-mails and last month I spent almost 30 minutes talking with a listener from Amazonas, northern Brazil.

On this occasion, he spoke about how the program has been important to him and as a broadcaster he is very happy with the quality of the audio. We also talked about the importance of deepening his knowledge of the word of God, so he accepted a correspondence course that has already been sent. I am very hopeful that he will be converted to Christ.

We can conclude from these reports that the Word of God is alive and effective and that we are instruments for spreading the gospel of Salvation.

19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen. (Matthew 28: 19-20)

God bless you all. May we seek you more every day and please continue to pray for countries in political and social crises.
