“Content is King” is a phrase that has been widely used since 1974, when authors J.W. Click and Russell N. Baird used it in the book, Magazine Editing and Production. Businessmen Sunmer Redstone and Bill Gates later made it popular. Today, it is used so often that it has almost become a cliché. This could be because it has been found applicable to every field of human endeavor. Its relevance is universal.

But what does it mean to us that are trying to reach the masses with the faith, hope and love of Jesus? It means that content does not change, but the ways and means you use to present it might. We look for ways to communicate the message in the most engaging way possible and using all available means.

“Content is King” in broadcasting not only because of the potential to stablish relationship with listeners that need Jesus, but also because of how it impacts our content syndication. We are aiming at increasing the reach of our content by introducing it to other audiences. Syndication is an incredible productive way of using content. By sharing the programs we produce, with other sites or broadcasting platforms, there is the potential to reach larger audiences, increase brand visibility and drive traffic to our website, App, and other social media outlets.

An example of the advantages of good content and how it is related to syndication, is what happened just recently. EBM Radio, an internet radio station that claims to be the “best Christian Radio Station in Spanish,” has requested to broadcast one of the programs produced for La Voz Alegre by Jesús Blanco, at no cost to us. They will be airing our program “Connect” Saturdays and Sundays at 10:00 pm (easter time). The program will have “radio spots” related to our whatsApp number, our App and our one-hour radio broadcast in Spanish.

EBM Radio’s director Jose Manuel Maceiras is very excited to broadcast our program because of “the quality of production and content.” Their main office is located in Spain and they are affiliated with TWR. They report audiences in Europe, Cuba and Central and North America.

Needless to say, we are very humbled seeing how God works opening doors to the Message, and we are eager to see what is His next move. We also feel challenged to do our best with the means that we have. We need to present the best product possible for His glory and the benefit of listeners. No doubt, Content is King.
