A couple of weeks ago we had the first official meeting of our team through Zoom, and next Tuesday we are planning to have our second meeting. It is exciting for all of us to experience God’s lead in the formation of our team, as well as in development of our work. I marvel as to how God answers our prayers for guidance and opens doors for effective ministry through the means of radio, social media, and personal contact with listeners.

Since the beginning, our goal has been to form a team that shares the same vision of using every means available to share the message of hope and salvation in Christ with as many people as possible. But then, after witnessing how our team is taking shape by the providence of God, we are talking now about taking the next step.

It feels good to know we are reaching the masses with the message of Jesus. It is a great joy to give people a faith that will anchor their lives in these turbulent times full of stress, anxiety, uncertainty and hopelessness. But now, through teamwork, we might be able to reach them on a more personal level. Let me explain.

God has blessed us with the friendship and collaboration of Sixto Rivera. As a gospel minister, Sixto has experience in radio broadcast and has seen first hand the power of it. In one of our initial meetings, he suggested that in order to be more effective, we might like to try, among other things, to be more personal with our listeners, that is, to be more available to respond to people’s needs for spiritual support. To accomplish that, he made available to us the network he already works with for evangelistic purposes, Genesis Alliance.

But, how can we be more personal? First, he suggested to have a WhatsApp number and provide it in our broadcasts, Website and App. Second, look for a person who would respond to messages from our listeners and then pass on the contact information to the person from our network who is the closest to the listener, who would try to get in touch with him/her. Third, with some accountability, we would be able to see reports on the status of each individual contacted. This conversation is still ongoing as of this writing. We will keep you informed on this development.

Please, keep our team in your prayers: Rex and Brenda Morgan, Reed Verdesoto, Jesús Blanco, Francisco Blanco and wife, Michel, Aimer, Milagros, Martica, Sixto and Anita Rivera, Roberto Pino, José and Raquel Castillo.
