Donors are the largest group of co-workers and the quiet heroes and heroines of World Christian Broadcasting. Communication between staff and donor is essential to our radio ministry. The highlight of comradery among donors and staffs is our annual fund raiser in April. This year the Chinese Language Service is given an honor to play a role in the event by sharing what is happening most recently in the Chinese world and its impact to our work.

We gave a five-minutes report on the new regulation of posting activity of religious material on internet inside of China which is now in practice. The new regulation reflects a need considered essential and necessary by the Chinese government. China expects her citizens and foreigners to respect her and her policy. So, what do we do? We know, Chinese, or anyone else, come to know Christ through ways we treat them. Jesus commands us, respect all people, respect leaders, criticize not. We respect China. We understand her needs and the means taken to meet those needs. We do not criticize China and her policy whether in person or in our programming. This is how we want the Chinese people to know about who we are and what we believe.

Besides us, Arabic Language Service gave a wonderful presentation in the fund raiser event by highlighting the work of God in the Arab world today and the fact that we are just vessels in God’s hands and He is the one who makes the seeds grow and brings the increase. Our English producers, Rob and Larry, gave donors an opportunity to see how the sound of our broadcasts are actually produced and transmitted daily at our production center and radio stations in an excellent video which they produced.

Another two highlights of the event are friends whom the Chinese staffs invited to the raiser including mentor, co-workers, and a group of high schoolers from Chinese church who are about to go to college. Chinese staffs also met with donors before the meals to thank them in person and to let them know more about us individually.

We thank God for summoning this team that is World Christian Broadcasting for His salvation works around the world now and into the future. Each donor and staff are God’s special vessel for His mission. This fund raiser gives us a precious opportunity to be together, encouraging and informing one another. Above all, we pray for our listeners for God’s blessing onto each every one of them. For the Chinese Language Service, we thank China for allowing her citizens to listen to our radio programs and to visit our Chinese website. May God bless the Chinese authorities and Chinese people. We thank you, faithful one of our Lord, for your continuous prayers, interest, and support to what we do.
