Dear listeners, it is with great joy that we reached a historic milestone in our programming! At the end of April we completed 6 months, half a year, spreading the message of God in Portuguese. As I said in the last article, our God is powerful and our message has penetrated into the hearts of our hearers. Our mission sowing continues and as Jesus told us in his gospel we must GO AHEAD AND PREACH, and this is what we are doing.

Daily we receive several comments about the Alegre Word Program and how refreshing it has been, a balm in the lives of these listeners. I want to share with you a comment coming from the northeast of Brazil, more precisely from the city of Jequié, Bahia. This comment is from one of our regular listeners, Antônio Argolo:

Dear Romulo Fontes

Greetings!

I’m writing to you in this Sunday evening to say that I received Radio Palavra Alegre’s QSL card.  It’s with this beautiful Madagascar’s primates’ image that I confirm from Africa the first tuning-in of this great radio show broadcast.

I’m also listening to Radio Voz Alegre, in Spanish and from the United States at around midnight.  Is it the same Radio Palavra Alegre show but in a different language?

The program in Portuguese sounds perfect to me, and I think it’s nice when an evangelical program is able to cover religious matters with songs, reading, reflections, and also including matters related to human behavior.  We need all this very much, especially because the world is in a time of inversion of values and the church can greatly help by acting as a mediator.

Radio Palavra Alegre reminds me of RTM and HCJB, which I used to listen to when I was a teenager.  I remember listening to programs for children which were very interactive.  This kind of program amuses me due to the variety of languages and the quality of production.  I believe this to be a trend in world communication.

Is not that incredible? And I’m not talking about the quality of our program, but about the impact God has on people’s lives and how God enables us to do what’s best for them. We see in this a confirmation that God is always working and using us to reach people.
