Our listener pool has almost doubled in sub-Saharan Africa. Beginning mid-February of 2023, African pathways will add a daily segment on baptism. We are also working on adding contacts in different locations within sub-Saharan Africa to follow up with our listeners, should they (the listeners) want to be baptized, we want to make that provision for them wherever they may be.
When our listeners tune in and listen to the program, they will hear these words at the end of every program: Thank you for listening to today’s broadcast. There is one more thing we love to bring to your attention as we close, and that is Baptism. Jesus says, “go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.” (Mark 16:15-16). Salvation from Jesus Christ comes from baptism into Jesus Christ. Peter told the people who were listening to his preaching on the day of Pentecost “Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. Jesus himself went from Galilee to John in Jordan and asked John to baptize him. Jesus’ action shows seriousness and the importance of baptism. We are asking for your prayers toward this effort as World Christian Broadcasting utilizes all available measures to disciple and lead the world to Christ. We are very excited about this development and we implore the power of our Lord Jesus Christ who sends us out to “be with us” as he had promised and as we begin to chart these new territories for his name. In subsequent WGOs we will report on events changing the landscape of sub-Saharan Africa that is drawing many people to listen to the gospel of Jesus Christ.
